Working and Topic Groups

IA4SP-Forum (in German: ‘Arbeitskreis’ )

The IA4SP-Forum (‘Partnership with SAP’) is a face-to-face meeting for members, occuring 2 to 3 times a year. The forum offers the possibility to receive first hand updates on SAP’s partner programs, SAP’s GTM approaches and SAP’s strategies. Also a regular status of the IA4SP Workgroups (see below) is given. Extensive exchange and discussions among partners and SAP provides additonal value to participating members.

The Speaker of the IA4SP-Forum sits on the ‘SAP Executive Roundtable’,which was established by SAP in mid 2013, and as such respresents the voice of the IA4SP members.

IA4SP Workgroup (heareafter called workgroup, in German: ‘Themenkreise’)

IA4SP-Workgroups deal with topics that are raised by a group of IA4SP members. They identify areas of interest i.e. new technologies, new market opportunities, cross-member client opportunities, or general hot topics related to SAP’s practices and policies. Workgroups are of temporary nature (1-2 years) and are being closed once the teams have determined conclusive work packages for the areas of interest. At current, the following workgroups are active:

IA4SP Workgroup ‘Applications’

Objective of this Workgroup is to offer additional business opportunities especially to consulting firms. Main focus is on classic SAP topics (e.g. SAP ERP). Also new topics (e.g. S/4 HANA) will be considered and are being evaluated on relevance to partner’s business opportunity. Furthermore we cultivate an intense and open exchange of consulting business aspects. This direct interaction enables our members to check out possibilities to offer to their clients additional cross-member services. SAP is invited to our meetings as well, either to discuss new products / solutions or partnering topics.

IA4SP Workgroup ‘SAP license management from a partner perspective’

The topics of this workgroup are the recent changes of the license and pricing policy of SAP. The resulting effects on the business opportunities of SAP partners relating to their customers and prospects are being assessed. The first step is to achieve transparency, then to bundle the arguments and to achieve a common understanding among partners for a joint approach. The goal is to make SAP aware of the added value of the partners and their solutions and to resolve any current issues with SAP.
